James 1:5; Proverbs 3:1-2

If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.

My son, do not forget my teaching,
but keep my commands in your heart
for they will prolong your life many years
and bring you peace and prosperity.

Your role as dad and husband requires your wisdom. As the head of our homes, you decide on our life...But God holds you accountable for our provisions, well-being, and all things that concern us, the family. You, as father and husband, need to be wise. Do you have wisdom? Are you wise? Do you seek wise counsel? What is the wisdom test?

1) Do you pray before you decide on anything?
2) Do you seek your wife's prayers on your thoughts?
3) Do you study God's word for answers and solutions to your needs?
4) Do you seek wise counsel through the wise persons who surround you?
5) Do you communicate with your spouse your findings?
6) Do you move strategically or with anxiety?
7) Do you study and research all means for completion of your needs and projects?

Being wise requires growth. You need to recognize that God is at work at all times. This fact requires that you understand this demands that your anxiety is misplaced and unwise. Wisdom is no respecter of age. Learning births wisdom. Be present and available to God for His direction and guidance.

Be wise.

Deuteronomy 11:19-21

Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.  Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates,  so that your days and the days of your children may be many in the land the Lord swore to give your ancestors, as many as the days that the heavens are above the earth.

Deuteronomy 4:9

Only be careful, and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them fade from your heart as long as you live. Teach them to your children and to their children after them.

Joshua 1:8

Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.

Proverbs 22:6

Start children off on the way they should go,
     and even when they are old they will not turn from it.

Commit to the Lord whatever you do,
     and he will establish your plans.
